Rebecca Kemble

Rebecca Kemble is a grandmother and water protector who lives with her extended family on Ho Chunk territory in Madison, WI. She is a worker-owner at Union Cab working as a taxi driver and serving on many internal governance and management committees since 2000. She also works as a journalist covering water protection actions against mining and pipeline projects. Rebecca served on the Madison Common Council from 2015 - 2021. She is currently involved with many projects, including the Solidarity Economy Principles Project, Line 5 Coalition, Madison Area Worker Cooperative Network, Madison Mutual Aid Network, regional food systems advocacy, and various media projects.
