Jamila Medley

Jamila (she/her) is a Black queer mama who loves love and has particpated in economic and racial justice movements for over a decade. From 2012-2021, Jamila served in governance roles and then as executive director of the Philadelphia Area Cooperative Alliance.  As an organizational development consultant, she now leverages her facilitation, synthesis, and thought partnership skills to support organizations aiming for transformational change.  

In 2022, Jamila’s heart led her to establish the Black Women at Home Project to visiblize the ways Black women embody, make meaning of, and celebrate home.  A creative, she finds joy in cooking and writing.
