Jae Trần is a Vietnamese artist, organizer, and abolitionist. They have nearly 15 years of experience as a community organizer and facilitator of group learning and affinity spaces. They consult with governmental programs, non-profits, and universities to offer capacity building, strategic planning, anti-oppression education, and policy implementation. Jae is a Co-Founder of the Dorchester Organizing & Training Initiative, a fellowship program centering immigrant communities. They’ve organized with groups like the Asian American Resource Workshop on issues such as labor rights, language access, and queer justice. Jae previously served as the Director of Education and Outreach at the Asian Task Force Against Domestic Violence, leading education programs rooted in racial, gender/queer and transformative justice. They currently serve as the national organizer for Viet Left Power, a power-building project working towards multiracial class-conscious solidarity. Jae dreams of a future where no one is disposable and all living beings are free.
