PeoplesHub is an online movement school that trains activists and nonprofits in disability justice, solidarity economy, and online facilitation. We are fiscally sponsored by Social Good Fund, are directed by a staff collective, and have an incredible crew of part-time trainers who design, facilitate, and sometimes coordinate our programs. The Program Associate will primarily interact with the staff collective and a member of the staff collective will supervise the Program Associate.
The Program Associate supports PeoplesHub to maintain efficient internal administrative and operational processes. A typical day will include priority tasks like ensuring trainers and participants have all the materials, calendar and Zoom links, and emails necessary for their programs; identifying what program information should be included in public materials like the website, newsletter, blogs, or reports; compiling information for participants and trainers after an offering such as resource emails and evaluations; and checking in with the staff collective to ensure that everything is flowing smoothly.
The ideal candidate possesses the self-accountability skills required to work well in a remote environment with little daily direct supervision; cares deeply about social movements and PeoplesHub’s people; has direct experience with the tasks and responsibilities required including Webflow, Powerbase, Slack, Google Suite, Zoom, and Asana; and is skilled at discerning and navigating dynamics that emerge in collectives and social movement groups. Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.
Responsibilities of the Position Include:
Program Data Management (30%)
- Downloading and archiving training recordings, transcripts, chats, and other media
- Maintaining updated program folders on Google drive
- Managing program registration pages and attendance reports in Powerbase
- Summarizing program evaluations
- Creating Zoom links for programs
- Creating calendar invites for programs
- Updating and maintaining event information in Powerbase
Program Communications (60%)
- Updating program information on Webflow website
- Sending program reminder and follow up emails in Powerbase
- Compiling, assembling, and sending external newsletter in Powerbase
- Creating and maintaining outreach materials
- Compiling and assembling program information for blog posts and annual reports
- Managing program mailings and correspondence
- Occasionally sending an additional email through Powerbase to our newsletter list
Other Organizational Support (10%)
- Participating in staff evaluations
- Participating in supervision and other administrative meetings as necessary
- Coordinating English/Spanish translation and interpretation for programs
Requirements for Candidates
- Residing in the United States
- Have 2-4 years experience with nonprofit program administration
- Have experience working independently with little supervision on tasks assigned by supervisor
- Have demonstrated experience working well with remote teams
- Have a functional work-from-home set up including a computer and Internet (this job is remote)
- Have demonstrated experience working well with remote teams
- Have reliable time management skills and ability to complete tasks without direct supervision
- Be fluent or proficient in English
- Have familiarity or experience working within social movements
Ideal Candidates will also:
- Have experience implementing accessibility practices and accommodations
- Have experience and comfort working with Zoom, Signal, Google Suite, Webflow, Powerbase, Slack, and Asana
- Be part of and/or have experience working with disabled communities
- Be familiar and comfortable with the dynamics, opportunities, and challenges of a small grassroots remote nonprofit
- Be a self-starter who can stay on top of details without prodding
- Have a demonstrated record of maintaining integrity and self-accountability in work settings and creating one’s own workflow
- Be bilingual in English and Spanish
- Be comfortable receiving, responding to, and tracking a steady flow of information and communication from multiple sources
- Be comfortable with technology and learning new skills
- Be comfortable troubleshooting problems and remaining patient

At least 75% of hours should be worked on weekdays between 10-6 pm ET. We’re looking for folks who share our politics, want to be part of our organization’s growth, and have deep skills that can strengthen and grow our work.
Compensation
This position is paid at a rate of $45/hr for 20 hrs/week. This is a part-time employee, W-2 position. The selected candidate will accrue PTO and sick leave, and will receive nine paid holidays, and paid time during PeoplesHub office closures (currently three weeks per year), and have access to 403b retirement benefits.
Location
PeoplesHub is a remote organization with people currently based throughout the U.S. The candidate can be based anywhere in the U.S.
