Vision and purpose are the foundation of a strong group and provide a guide for the change we want in our communities. In this interactive workshop, we will strengthen our collective visioning muscles, dig into purpose, and explore how to build alignment in the groups you work with. Join us to tap into your creativity and imagine what is possible.

This training is ideal for:
Anyone looking to push the edges of their imagination to envision what is possible for themselves and their community. All change-makers, new and experienced, are welcome and encouraged to join
You’ll come away with:
- Creative tools and practices for imagining what is possible in your community
- Ideas for incorporating creative visioning into your ongoing work
- A draft purpose statement for you and your offering to the world
- Strategies for supporting groups you are a part of to have a shared purpose and vision
What do you do to prepare?
Please choose a location with a strong internet connection, where you are able to speak and listen comfortably. You’ll need a laptop or desktop computer, and headphones.

Our Workshop Trainers are some of the most experienced trainers and organizers who, like you, are working hard for change in their communities. In order to offer trainers fair compensation, the real cost of a PH workshop is $40/person. Please pay what you can afford. Jess Grady-Benson has organized with successful campaigns for climate and racial justice, indigenous sovereignty, and workers’ rights, including launching one of the nation’s first victorious fossil fuel divestment and reinvestment campaigns. She went on to help build and serve as the Director of Training for the Divestment Student Network, a youth-led organization focused on training, coaching, and leadership development. In recognition of her leadership in the youth climate justice movement, Jess was a recipient of the Brower Youth Award.
Director of Training at PeoplesHub, Elandria also provides development support to cooperatives, mostly in the Southern United States, and is a co-editor of Beautiful Solutions, a project that is gathering some of the most promising and contagious stories, solutions, strategies and big questions for building a more just, democratic, and resilient world. For the last eleven years Elandria worked at the Highlander Research and Education Center, first as the youth / intergenerational programs director and then helping co-coordinate Economics and Governance programs such as the Mapping Our Futures Curriculum and the Southern Grassroots Economies Project.
