Building Power to Win: Developing and Running an Empowering Get Out the Vote Campaign
Voter Registration/Get Out the Vote is a critical tool for building power to win on issues affecting our communities. This training will teach you how to develop a non-partisan Voter Registration campaign, how to mobilize disenfranchised people to participate in the electoral process and, building upon that pre-work, run a successful and empowering Get Out the Vote campaign.

This training is ideal for:
People who are interested in building power through organizing a voter registration campaign—open to both new and established groups and individuals.
You’ll come away with:
- An understanding of how civic engagement can help build organizational membership and leadership
- Tools to educate people in your community around key issues
- Strategies for building a successful non-partisan campaign where you live
What do you do to prepare?
Please choose a location with a strong internet connection, where you are able to speak and listen comfortably. You’ll need a laptop or desktop computer, and headphones.

Our Workshop Trainers are some of the most experienced trainers and organizers who, like you, are working hard for change in their communities. In order to offer trainers fair compensation, the real cost of a PH workshop is $40/person. Trainer: Linda Stout
Linda is an activist and a visionary working against injustice within her world, her country, and her community. She is the founder and executive director of the Piedmont Peace Project, an organization committed to drawing leadership from poor and working-class communities. She also founded Spirit in Action, which seeks out transformative tools, models, and resources for building a powerful and visionary progressive movement. Linda is the author of two books, Bridging the Class Divide and Collective Visioning. She has given over 600 lectures, sermons, and workshops in the last 30 years in an effort to use her voice to unite change-makers and create a just world.
